Programs:
Nvu: Nvu is a complete web authoring system
that is free. There are tutorials and a great users guide to help you learn
the program.
Orange Photo
Editor: Orange Photo Editor is an useful program that allows you to view,
manage and publish photos on your website. It create thumbnails, resize photos
and generate HTML pages. And best of all it's free!
Wink: Wink is a free tutorial and presentation software.
You use screen shots and Wink will then animate the mouse moves and let you
add notes and buttons to the presentation. You can see a sample Wink tutorial

RealeWriter
(demo version): this program can make little books to print or it can create
an online ebook. This is great for student created books. A single computer
license is $29.95. Schools can also apply for one copy free. To see an online

Localendar.com: on this website
you can create a free events calendar for your school or media center. It can
be totally intergrated into your school's website.
Web Scripts:
Book
Flip script: an image slideshow that
simulates a page being turned to reveal two new slides at once.
Event Calendar
script: An Events Calendar script that, along
with the current month calendar, displays important events for specific dates.
Click on a relevant date, and a description of the event associated with it is
shown. The events are stored in an external .js file. This script is compatible
in both IE and Firebox.
Pausing Up-down
Message Scroller script: An up-down
message scroller that pauses between each message, good for important news or
announcements on your home page.
Image Slideshow script: displays
a gallery of images from left to right, one at a time, and pauses between each
image.
Hang Man Game script: It's the great JavaScript reincarnation
of the classic "Hang Man" game. Play against the computer. The vocabulary to be
used is configurable.
Easy Email
Scrambler script: This script encrypts any email link on your
webpage to hide them from harvesters and spammers. The script shines in its ease
of implementation and extensive browser compatibility.
Text Sizer script: Sometimes the text size you've specified
for your webpage isn't suitable to the viewer, depending on his browser configuration
or OS. This useful script by Taewook uses Dynamic CSS to let the viewer himself
modify the text size of the page on demand, by clicking on an Increase or Decrease
Font Size link.
